Coasting into the final week of the regular season our Kingsmen stand atop the NIC “Big School” conference with a 7-1 record and a 3-0 record in conference play. The Kingsmen have seemed like a much-improved team after a heartbreaking loss in week three on the road against Indianapolis Cathedral.

On Friday night the boys will take on South Bend Adams in hopes of winning the conference crown outright, this is also senior night for the 32 Seniors. With a week off after senior night, the boys will take on the Lions of Elkhart whom they beat earlier in the year to open up the playoffs in the hunt for another State Title.

The “Wild Bunch” defensive unit has given up a mere 76 points all year and shut out 4 of the 8 teams they have played so far. The Bunch has also scored a handful of touchdowns thanks to Senior corner Vincent Horner standing out and scoring from punt returns and interception returns. On the other side of the ball, The offense known as the “Gold Rush” has put up the majority of the 219 total points scored this season. In conference play alone Penn has outscored opponents 112-13 executing remarkably on both sides of the ball.

PNN reporter Kendal Schaffer got an interview with Sophomore safety Vinny Freeman on his feelings about the program this season.

Good luck boys!
