On Friday night at Elkhart Central, the Lady Kingsmen track team finished in first place with a score of 88, and had multiple first place finishers. 

Senior Mikaylah Woods took home one blue ribbon on her own in the long jump with a jump of 17 feet and 2 inches. The runner up was up from Crown Point and she had a jump of 15 feet and 6 inches.

Mikaylah’s 4×400 relay team finished first with a time of 3:56.46, the other runners were Jemmia Pennix, Temeshia Paul, and Ashleigh Macleod. The 800 Sprint Medley team of Mikaylah Woods, Temeshia Paul, Jemmia Pennix, Elizabeth Jenkins beat the LaPorte team to take the blue ribbon with a time of 1:51.38.

Penn took first and second place in the 3200 Meter run. Ellie Jankowiski took first with a time of 11:22.77, and right behind her was Penn’s Lauren Frank who finished in 11:23.33.

The 2×3200 Meter Relay team of Lauren Frank, Ellie Jankowiski, and Sybil Kurian won the race in 22:46.10 to finish in first.

The Ladies next race against Clay and New Prairie on Tuesday, and after that they will travel to Goshen on Saturday to compete in the Goshen Relays.
